Senior Job Coordinator Competency Modeling

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to draw competency model by cohering knowledge, skills, and attitudes, derived from the job analysis on the duties and tasks of the senior job coordinators. DACUM (Developing A Curriculum) method was used to analyze the performed duty of the senior job coordinators. Total of fourteen participants participated in this study, including six subject-matter experts, one facilitator, two recorders and five experts to examine the job analysis results. As a result, the total of six senior job coordinators duties were identified: analyzing the labor market, developing profession, linking job seekers and recruiters, conducting job competency enforcement training, promoting job placement projects, and assessing job placement projects. Also, duty-specific knowledge, skills, and attitudes were determined and utilized for the competency modeling. By integrating the duty-specified knowledge, skills, and attitudes, the competencies that were acknowledged through the workshop directed by the subject-matter experts were: senior employment policy search competency , regional characterized job support development competency , data usage competency for the senior labor market analysis , senior occupation/job analysis competency , senior economic activity needs identification competency , excavation competency of demands for senior workforce , job seekers and recruiters network providing competency based on current job market analysis , senior training specialist pool development and utilization competency , senior training curriculum development competency , post-training support competency after the senior job competency enforcement training , babyboomer generation support service competency , promotional item development and promotion competency , promotional usage competency of public media , senior job placement project assessment data collection competency , and senior job assessment data analysis and its utilization competency . Based on the findings, practical suggestions and recommendations for the future research directions were proposed.
